My father said she was Cherokee and Tippecanoe Indian, but unable to verify.

Mustered into service Mar 31, 1864 at Chicago, Illinois. Residence: Middleford, Vermilion County, Illinois. Severely wounded in battle of Franklin, Tennessee, Nov 30, 1864. Left in the hands of the enemy, sent to hospital in Nashville, last date in hospital was Dec 17, 1864, not heard from since. No discharge given.

Also, signed Pension Affidavit Feb 6, 1868 in Tipacanoe Co, (now Tippecanoe) Indiana and Lydia Ann Boba witnessed Application Oct 20, 1866, Ford Co, Ill. Eva Ryan and Priselia R. Tucker signed affidavit they knew Margaret 26 years (Mar 1, 1911), Kansas City, Kan. (copy).
